Mission: To provide education and financial assistance to young men and women by promoting community citizenship and high academic performance through competitive sports.
The Cary Cougars basketball program is supported by Basketball Heights, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping local kids excel in academics and in life through athletics. The organization supplies financial assistance for tutors, SAT prep classes, camps and trips, college scholarships and more.
Basketball Heights is a 501(c)(3) organization, meaning all donations to Basketball Heights are tax deductible.
Goals
- We will distribute college financial assistance and other forms of financial aid to those who meet the stated standards for community citizenship and high academic performance.
- To promote Basketball Heights to potential contributors who share the Basketball Heights vision for helping young men and women.
- Through the competitive experience of sports and team play, we will provide coaching and mentoring that instills a positive foundation for future life experiences.
- Financial assistance will be for young men and women, including those participating in Cary Cougars basketball programs.
- Basketball Heights is managed with the intent of perpetuity. Distribution of financial assistance is designed to keep the non-profit solvent.
